Thread Border Router Required

Just like the early days of Wi-Fi, this is a new term that will become widely recognised as Thread devices become more popular. Since the SCM uses a Thread radio, you will need a Thread Border Router in your home to be able to communicate with it. You may already have one in your home, but even if you don't, they can easily be purchased at popular electronics retailers.
